A heavy snow dropped 18” on central Ohio in January 2026, and with it was bitter cold, with subzero (farenheit) wind chills. I chased frigid beauty the moment we could legally get back on the roads, and at Prairie Oaks Metro Park I found still, subtle beauty during the last remnants of light and into blue hour. This baby evergreen tree popping through the heavy snow brought images of Charlie Brown’s Christmas to mind.
